Browser Ubiquity

Browser Ubiquity is important when considering an SSL certificate. Usually its expressed as a percentage. It tells you what percentage of browsers will work with the certificate provided by the CA (Certificate authority). Usually you will find most of the bigger CA's stating a browser ubiquity of around 99%. Browsers include Netscape, Opera, Firefox, and Internet Explorer among others.  In summary, browser ubiquity defines how likely it is a browser will accept the certificate presented to it.
